The United States Military has been around since before the Declaration of Independence in 1775 protecting us and our freedom and here at OHC we proudly support the men and women who serve by providing them with strong and durable flooring for their military trailers. The United States Air Force was established on September 18th, 1947, the next Armed Forces formed were the United States Army on June 14th, 1775, followed by the United States Navy on October 13th, 1775 and finally the United States Marine Corps on November 10th 1775.

The first Military vehicles were created in 1909 as armored cars, then as advances came the armored cars from 1909 to armored tanks in 1939. Then in the 1950’s came the Military grade jeeps with open backs for the ever growing Military needs. The M-105 2-Wheel Cargo Trailer was developed to replace the World War II vintage vehicles. They were able to carry up to 5,500 pound on the highway and 1,500 pounds as an off-road trailer.

OHC provides floor kits for the M172 Series, M870 Series, M871 Series and the M872 Series; you can get a shipment direct to the United States Air Force, United States Army, United States Navy, or the United States Marine Corps through the Direct order program through the Defense Supply Network.

The M172 is a four-wheeled, dual-axle, dual-tire semi-trailer which is used to transport cargo, it is 16 feet long, and is a 15-ton trailer. The M172A1 is a 25-ton trailer, and is equipped with an Ordnance standard axle and air-over-hydraulic brakes.

The M870 Series is a low-bed semi-trailer usually assigned to Engineer units to haul heavy loads of equipment. The M870 Series is not designed to be an off-road or cross country trailer, it is used for highway or improved roads such as graded graves.

M871 and M872 Series semi-trailers were produced to carry containers or other military freight in rare areas and are intended for operations at sustained high speeds on main roads. The M871 is used to transport containers, shelters, and cargo from the Corps GSSA to the Division Support Command, while the M872 was normally operated from a port area as far forward as the Corps General Support Supply Activity.

Here at OHC we can provide floors to the newly manufactured military trailers or even to the refurbished trailers, we can also repair or replace units.
