This is a compilation of recent recoveries I’ve done that I did not have enough footage for an entire video on its own. They range from a simple vehicle vehicle over the side recovery to a massive heavy duty burn job. Leave a comment to let me know which one was your favorite; I’ll be choosing 3 winners at random by the end of this week to give out cool limited Pepe’s swag!
UPDATE: Winners have been announced! Congrats to:
Connecting truck drivers & fleets with the nearest 24 hour road service, mobile truck repair, trailer repair, tire repair, full service repair shops, truck stops, heavy duty towing & heavy duty recovery in real time.
While there are many factors that play into the life of the economy, truck drivers are the heart and soul which keeps the blood pumping. According to the American Trucking Association, there are 3.5 million commercial truck drivers in the United States. Each and every day thousands of truck drivers are on the roads delivering the products we use, the food that we consume and the materials corporations utilize to build our infrastructures.
Of course, like anything else, trucks need maintenance. Somewhere every day there is a truck breaking down on the road and more often than not, with slim to no options available.
Hi, my name is Costas Themistocleous, and I am the founder and CEO of TruckER. I have been working in the commercial trucking industry for the last decade, moving freight, automobiles and commodities for consumers and corporations all throughout the United States and Canada. When a driver breaks down, it is not usually an easy task finding them service to get them back up and running. I think we can all relate to the frustrations of spending precious time searching the web and inaccurate directory services looking for the right service vendor at a reasonable cost.
TruckER is designed to help drivers find service fast and easy with the click of a button. Minimizing downtime and time consumed spent searching for an expert, willing and licensed service vendor to come and repair your rig.
Simply choose the breakdown category, answer a few simple questions, upload photos of the incident and hit “Find Service Now”
TruckER then utilizes advanced GPS technology to quickly pinpoint your exact breakdown location and instantly pings the 5 nearest service vendors who cater to your specific breakdown needs, displaying rates, ETA and availability. TruckER allows users to submit their breakdown into a 90 second auction style bidding system, allowing vendors to compete on your breakdown service, which can save you time and money. Upon accepting a vendors ETA and quote, a service ticket is generated and a chat window opens between you and the vendor, allowing further information and detail to be discussed. When service is completed, vendors can upload the invoice directly through TruckER, and both user and vendor can rate their experience with one another.
Truck drivers keep our world in motion and without them, we’d be a lot less connected. We here at TruckER understand and appreciate the importance of commercial truck drivers and what they do for our everyday lives. Our mission here is simple.. That is to keep you up and running with minimal downtime and cost effective service solutions provided by expert, willing and genuine service vendors.
TruckER will be available through Apple’s App Store on iOS devices, the Google Play Store on Android devices and through the World Wide Web. When your truck goes down and you need service fast, TruckER is here to assist 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Lift install is at 2:10 mark
Tire road test is at 7:30 mark
tire off-road test at 13:56 mark
Against everything I read on the internet, I decided to TRY and install a 3” lift. Although I COULD have gotten it in there, if the strut extended all the way while offroading it would ABSOLUTELY break an axle. DO NOT DO 3” LIFT. So I took that off and just put the 23” aggressive mud tires, no lift needed YET and I ordered another lift that is 2”. hoping to get this up to a side by side SXS UTV status!
I do a test of the new tires, offroad, rock climb articulation, hill climb, mountain and mud. Does really good!
I ordered a CV boot too, mine was ripped so I showed my way of making it hold dirt out a little longer…
Dihatzu Hijet (translates to midget in Japanese) Climber Mini-truck, this one is a 1992, 7th Gen, S83P, 660cc Minitruck. The “climber” means it has rear axle lock. Amir has about 60 units in stock, he was very helpful.
Researching online I did find l lot of information, but Amir explains a LOT more than I knew, he has been in the business for 15 years. Plus if Bubbles in Trailer Park Boys has one, it HAS to be cool!
Don’t forget you’re buying a used vehicle, check it all out, they’re over 25 years old! Some are in much better shape than others. Check for leaks, CV boots ripped, Loose suspension, Clutch slippage, clunks etc. Just like any used vehicle

More info (Wikipedia):
The Daihatsu Hijet (Japanese: ダイハツハイゼット) is a cabover microvan and pickup truck produced and sold by the Japanese automaker Daihatsu since 1960. Despite the similarities between the Hijet name and Toyota’s naming scheme for its trucks and vans (Hiace and Hilux), the name “Hijet” has been in use for Daihatsu’s Kei trucks and Microvans since 1960, over two decades before Toyota took control. “Hijet”, when transliterated into Japanese, is very similar to “Midget”, one of Daihatsu’s other mini-trucks. The Hijet competes in Japan with the Honda Acty, Subaru Sambar, Mitsubishi Minicab, Suzuki Carry and the Nissan Clipper.
