  1. That can rusting through didn't surprise me on bit. They mounted it directly in the wheel well where the tire constantly sprays it with all of the grime that builds up on the road especially on the right side where all of the garbage settles and then sits under the clamp where it just sits and does its thing and rust. At least the left side where the road usually is higher than the right side would have been better or better yet under the cab area inside the frame rails would have been the better place like they used to put them in the 80's.
A good friend of mine that drives or mentioned to me years ago if I ever notices which side of a truck is dirtier than the other. I didn't know where he was going with it but he said that the right side is always dirtier than the left because it is the curb lane that all of the dirt from the road goes to settle and the crown on the left is always cleaner. Same goes for most parts breaking down too. Always learning something.
    Thanks Gordo!

  2. Hey Mr. Gordon, I'm glad I ran across this. I have a question for you. I have a 06 Columbia Detroit 14l my air dryer keeps purging. It does it every 17 secs, there's no air leaks I changed everything from the air dryer to the fittings on the air tank the governor. It's still purging, any ideas? What im missing?
