Do you have alignment issues or tire wear? Watch this:
Transcript of video:
So I wanted to show you some tire wear so you can be aware of real life examples for your own tires.
This first example is to much air in the tire itself, so obviously it is wearing out in the middle. As you can see, the tread is not even to the wear bars on the side, but gone in the middle. So thats overinflation, you wanna watch for that with your own tires.
Next, this one has to do with alignment issues, there is wearing of an extreme amount off the side here. When you have something with a little less wear like this one, its usually a rotation issue, because most of the tire is ok, its just the far inside that has the wear.. the last quarter is the part that is gone. That comes from lack of rotation. On this one, since most of the tread is coming off, more then half of the tire tread that is an alignment issue.
Over here I wanted to show you a little more even wear on the tire, see these wear bars, this is a pretty even wear tire.
What this all comes down to is if you ever have any weird wear, all tires do is show what is going on with your vehicles. Tires will wear even if you never rotate them because of the turning involved.
Next one up is feathering, this usually happens on trailers and sport utility vehicles too, this comes from turning way way way to much and lack of rotation.
This one here is also an alignment issue, but as you can see these diagonal cuts right here across the face of it, this comes from both bad parts and bad alignment, so this almost skips down the road, if you ever have a truck or care tire with an angle or diagonal wear its usually from bad shocks or bad parts. This also has the same exact thing and also has under inflation since the sides are wearing more than the center and an alignment issue. This gives you an idea of different options of what to look for with tires and tire wear.
